It's a Beautiful Morning
Well waking up at 6:00 wasn't as bad as I though it would be. It is hot outside already but the sky is beautiful and the birds are singing. I made pancakes, sausage, eggs and opened a can of peaches for breakfast. Got everyone woke up and dressed and then we ate and Matt headed off to school with Michael heading off to work. It is so hard to believe my little boy is starting his last year of high school. He has lots of decisions to make this year about wheather he is going to go to a 4 year college near home or away from home, wheather he is maybe even going to a Technical school instead. He wants to go into computers like his dad and brother that is for sure, the only difference is he wants to go into the gaming industry part of computers and I don't know but that would seem like a risky business. I mean there are a thousand good football players out there but only a few make the pros and it seems the gaming industry would be the same. There are a thousand kids out there wanting to do it but only a few get the job. Jerry does computer stuff for IBM, right now Michael is working for the school board as a computer tech, making sure all the computers are working and fixing them if they aren't and conecting new ones all the time. He will graduate in June from a Technical school with two associate degrees in computers and will then go take 3 different certification test and then look for a better paying job. He started taking classes at the Technical school when he was 16 in the evenings after he would get out of high school for the day so we are very proud of him, he maintained a 3.5 at the high school and a 4.0 at the technical school. To know what computer addicts there are in my house, we have 9 working and running computers. Michael has two in his room, Jerry has 2 in his office plus his work laptop, I have my desktop downstairs in the office and then got Michael's old laptop upstairs in the bedroom that I keep mostly recipes on, Matt's computer and Lacy's computer. And believe me the electric company knows we run them according to our bill every month. |

Wow, I can't believe 9 computers! I'd be in hawg heaven at your house!
I don't understand what the gaming industry is.
What Matt wants to do is develop the games that the kids play (well a lot of adults also) on the computers. He plays these games all the time and is really good at them so he thinks he will be good at making and developing the games also. He may be I just know it is hard to develop a game that becomes popular and can make you money. I may just not understand as much about the industry as Matt does but Jerry seems to have the same opinion and keeps telling Matt that if he wants to develop games then he needs to quit playing them all the time and work on his programming skills.
You would be in hawg heaven until you got that first electric bill, ours was $384.00 last month, don't even want to see this months.
Hey Mouse, sounds like you had a better day & I am glad. I have thought about buying a laptop & doing away with my desk-top. What do you think? Your son will have to make so many choices. Boy aint it good to be older...I didnt say old...just older!! LOL!
I don't know I like my desktop a lot better than my laptop. I guess after you use the laptop a lot it gets easier. I like the laptop cause I can take it with me when we go to Texas or even if I know I will be sitting somewhere for awhile waiting on a kid or something but I would try going somewhere that you can try out the keyboard on a laptop before you buy one and see how you like it.
mouse i read your post about billy graham. i did read that he charged admission , maybe he didn't all the time i don't know.sorry if you are supset with me. i would go crazy with 9 computers.
Patsy of course I'm not upset with you. I mean this is blogging is all about.....talking and expressing ourselves. I love reading your blogs and your sisters blogs. Ya'll are so funny with each other.
Was suppose to say "This is what blogging is all about."
I know what you mean with 9 computers it is like we run a gambling hall or something. We need to take pictures of them all and where they are set up cause I don't know that an insurance agent would believe us if we ever had a fire or something. Michael built both of his and one of them is really cool, you can see inside it as he plays games or does homework or whatever, it has a liquid cooling system on it. Jerry has one set up just for weather stuff he does, him and 3 other guys are building their own weather site. Me for the most part my desktop is the only one I use and is enough for me. I mostly use the laptop when I am going to be on the road cause the kids watch movies I'm not real interested in and Jerry does most of the driving.
