The General (for the last time)
Dot my good friend over at
http://www.beneaththeshadyoak.blogspot.com/ wanted to know what had happened to the General. Well now I have an answer for you dot. The General is in the Kennesaw Civil War Museum formally known as the Big Shanty Museum. I will e-mail you the story on how she got there. It is not near as long as the other story but just as interesting. Thanks for doing the word blog dot, I liked your definitions.

Mouse, I believe I've been there and see the General. Sure is a beauty!
Oh, thank you for posting this photo. That is certainly a lovely piece of machinery. My son loves trains. . .we've ridden the Texas State Railroad twice. . .both times we opted for the steamer rather than the diesel. I really can't imagine NOT liking trains. . .atleast not this kind.
dot Jerry and I are going to plan a trip to Kennesaw one weekend with the kids to see the train.
roxanne I know what you mean, we have been on a number of train rides when we lived in Texas. Mostly the Rusk train. And have been on a couple since we moved up here.
Make sure you go up the mountain if you've never been. It always scares me to death but I love going!
Do you walk or drive up the mountain?
